Our Story

Our Beginning

In the Spring of 1994, with one truck and a lawn spreader, our founder David Croke opened Lawns of Southern New Hampshire. Over the years, Lawns of Southern NH has grown from a one-man operation to a company employing ten state licensed lawn specialists servicing multiple cities and towns throughout southern New Hampshire. Let us provide you with the best lawn and service in New Hampshire!

Our Future

In fall of 2023 our founder, David Croke, sold Lawns of Southern NH to Brandin Swisher. David is still here and will phase into full retirement over the next few years; his current focus is sales. Brandin has 25 years of experience in lawn care, owning Alliance Landscaping in Auburn, NH.

Brandin had a similar humble beginning as David and started his business out of his 1985 Ford LTD in 1999. Now Alliance employs over 100 employees and services large commercial properties such as the Elliot Hospital, Hannaford Supermarkets, large industrial condos, and 55+ communities like the Fells in Amherst, NH. Alliance does not offer residential services other than Fertilizer programs.

Brandin has multiple additional licenses that will now offer services such as Mosquito Spraying and Mulch/Stone Bed Vegetation Control. These services will help our clients have a “one stop shop” for of their lawn care needs. In addition to these new services, Lawns of Southern NH will be switching our pre- and post-service notifications to emails or texts in an effort to be “green.” You will no longer have invoices posted on your door. You will see a small posting sign near the road after services. Our post treatment notification will also offer instructions of what to do after service and tips on issues our techs identify such as suggestions on how to water and mow properly.

Brandin and his wife Tracy will now focus primarily on running our newly upgraded facility at 308 Elm Street in Milford, and look forward to working with you.
